About Me

I founded Double Loop Solutions in 2023 after spending a decade as Director of Research, Evaluation & Assessment for Bellevue School District, near Seattle.

I have wide-ranging experience across the K-12 education sector, including consulting at the state, district and school levels, and serving as manager of the School Design practice area at Education Resource Strategies, Inc.

Past Projects

Past projects are varied: I've served as an expert witness on a school finance court case, built simulation models for weighted student funding systems, designed comprehensive dashboard systems, calculated equity statistics for Education Week's Quality Counts report, overhauled district assessment systems, trained teachers and school leaders on how to use data and lead root cause analyses, led equity audits, established comprehensive survey systems to gather feedback from students, staff and families, overseen tutoring programs, and coached school improvement teams.

I have a PhD in public policy from Harvard University, a masters in public administration from Cornell University, and a bachelor's in psychology from Bryn Mawr College. I've earned certificates in design thinking from IDEO U and the Luma Institute, as well as in change management from Kotter and am also trained as a facilitator and mediator.
